The American Friends of the V&A supported The Clothworkers’ Centre for the Study and Conservation of Textiles and Fashion that opened in October.
In 2013, the American Friends of the V&A supported The Clothworkers’ Centre for the Study and Conservation of Textiles and Fashion that opened in October. Housed in Blythe House in Olympia, London, The Clothworkers’ Centre will dramatically improve access to over 100,000 textiles and fashion pieces.
With superb storage facilities, a state-of-the art textile and conservation studio and a light and spacious study room where visitors can examine objects, this will be a major center for the study of textiles and fashion, which will inspire and support designers of the future.
Only a ten-minute journey from the main V&A site, this architecturally interesting building is well worth a visit.
